Is the Phone Number Telling me That I Won 85k for Voting for Tinubu Legit?

On Saturday morning, I received a call from a friend who informed me that he had received a message from an unknown phone number congratulating him on winning 85k.

According to the body of the message, it stated that the 85k is compensation for voting the president into office during the February 25th Presidential election.

He asked me to confirm if such a message was legit. Before he could finish his request, I immediately exclaimed, “No, it is not legit!” using my Nigerian tone to convey that those numbers are from scammers.

What they do is send you a message using a different phone, trick you into transferring money to another number, and the communication kicks off from there.

Most of these scammers are professionals. If you don’t rebuke them from the beginning, you are likely going to fall for their antics.

No member of the president’s gang can send 85k to individuals who voted for the president during the 2023 presidential election.

The message is from scammers, and one has to be careful when dealing with them.

So to answer, if the message about winning 85k for electing the president was legit, the answer is “NO, IT IS NOT LEGIT.”
