Does My Whatsapp Contact List Hate My Progress on YouTube?

I used to post my YouTube video links on my WhatsApp status, but they get zero views or subscribers.

I don’t know if I am the only one experiencing this or if there are others facing the same issue. It appears that the people in my contact list don’t like to see me progress, yet I am the first person they reach out to when they need financial support.

A long time ago, I always thought that I didn’t receive as much from my contacts as I gave them. The only thing I ask is for them to subscribe to my YouTube channel and watch my videos. I’d make a video and share it on my WhatsApp status; over 100 people would see the post, but none would bother to click on the link to watch the video. This has made me wonder if these people I call friends actually care about me.

Recently, I came to understand and acknowledge that not everyone is interested in what I am interested in. That’s just the simple truth that many are still failing to accept.

People on your contact list don’t hate you; rather, they may not be interested in the type of content you create.

So, it wouldn’t make any sense to start bothering yourself just because your friends don’t like watching your videos on YouTube.

Does My WhatsApp Contact List Hate My Progress on YouTube?

The truth is that, in one way or another, your friends are actually doing you a favor. They are not watching your videos, which can benefit your channel. Let me explain.

One thing the YouTube algorithm doesn’t want is to be confused by the wrong audience. Also, you don’t want the algorithm to send your videos to people who are not interested in watching them.

When a subscriber refuses to watch your videos, it is a significant red flag to the algorithm and your channel. No matter how good your video is, if it continues to reach the wrong people, it will end up in the YouTube archives.

The best solution is this: since the YouTube algorithm appreciates understanding what your channel and videos are about, share your videos in groups and on platforms where you know they will be appreciated.

For example, if you create videos for young parents, it is pointless to share the video on platforms populated by video editors. Instead, find groups specific to your audience so that when you share the link to your videos in such groups, it will receive more views and reactions.

This approach also helps the algorithm to better and more quickly understand what your channel is about and start promoting it to the right audience.

Conclusion

In summary, it is important to understand that everyone has their own interests. Not everyone loves ice cream. So, stop worrying about your friends not being interested in the kind of videos you post on your WhatsApp status.

Instead of posting on your WhatsApp status, it is advisable to find groups on Facebook or subreddits on Reddit that are specific to or made up of people who are interested in the content you create. This way, your channel will attract viewers and subscribers who are genuinely interested in the videos you share on YouTube.

Hope this helps. Please feel free to share your experiences with channel promotions.
