In this story, I will share my experience on how I used Ezoic + AdSense at the same time. You will get to know if the two platforms are worth having at the same time or which is preferred to work independently.
It is no longer breaking news that Ezoic and AdSense are partners hence their lookalike policies.
They have a policy that is almost the same thing. That’s why some people almost mistake Ezoic for Google AdSense.
My journey with AdSense and Ezoic
This story will be broken down into two – my AdSense Story and my Ezoic story. This is to help you better understand my experience with the two platforms.
My AdSense Story
So, about 4 years ago I had this website (theschoolmedia.com) hosted with AdSense. Though it took me months to be accepted into the AdSense platform.
That was the first time I came across Ad networks. Due to my quest to start getting and maximizing income, I decided to test almost all Ad networks.
The truth was that I never knew what I was doing as long as blogging was concerned.
I registered with any advertising network I could come across online. They all nearly broke down my website. All the blogs expired. I never got a dime from it. I did not have enough money to renew the domain and hosting so I left it for good.
A year later, I started another blog hosted by blogspot.com. Because my AdSense account was connected to my YouTube account, I needed a custom domain to apply for AdSense.

Regularly, I kept on blogging. AdSense approved my new site after many rejections. Funny enough, after two years, my site was only able to make nothing more than $12. This by implication means that since I started my blogging journey and using the AdSense ad network, I have never cashed out.
It was indeed a hell of an experience.
My Ezoic Story
In 2022, I learnt about Ezoic. Many astonishing reviews about the platform made me give it a shot.
Unfortunately, they rejected my site owing to a violation of policies. They told me that my site contained many items that violated their policies so they won’t approve my site.
Even after many months of trying again, my site was still rejected. They told me that they won’t approve my site soon any longer.
The good stuff I read about Ezoic instigated me to create a new site. I ended up creating Sirchike.com.

After my first three months with Ezoic, I was able to make up to $67. I know that this might be nothing for some people, but for me, it is something great. After all my years with AdSense and having just $12, and now, just three months with Ezoic, I made $67, why won’t I celebrate it?
For now, my site is still battling with generating powerful traffic. You can attest to the fact that traffic is the engine house of a successful blog.
Can I use Ezoic and AdSense at the same time?
Now, we have arrived at the question that made me write this post.
Yes, you can use the two platforms in your account and they will work perfectly fine. But before you add an AdSense code to a site where Ezoic is already operating, make sure you wrap the two codes.

From my experience, having the two platforms wouldn’t be advised. I once had the two platforms on my site and it drastically slowed my earnings for a full month.
After I removed the AdSense code, my site earnings returned to normalcy.
This could be a different thing altogether for you but based on my experience, having the two running on my site is a no-no.
Do I need an AdSense account to create an Ezoic account?
The straight answer to this question is, no, you don’t need to create an account first with AdSense before applying for Ezoic. But if you want to use the two platforms in one site you’ll need an Ezoic account.
Also, if you must have an Ezoic account without AdSense, you must adhere to both Ezoic and Google ad policies. This is because both platforms are partners and their users must abide by their policies.

Which is better, Ezoic or AdSense
I have written a post comparing Ezoic and AdSense. You are more than welcome to read it and find out for yourself which is the best.
However, it is important to understand that these two platforms can be beneficial at their various levels.
Some people who value Ezoic might hate AdSense while some who love AdSense might hate Ezoic. It is a two-way thing. My old man would always say that one man’s food could be another man’s poison.
Judging from my personal experience, Ezoic is better than AdSense.
