4 things that can make you give up on blogging

More than a decade ago, a lot of people ventured into blogging. As time went by, the multitude who went into it started dropping off because they were not getting what they craved.

The initial plan was to make money from the platform as soon as possible but unfortunately, what they planned wasn’t what they saw.

After passing through a lot of stress, they attested that blogging was not easy and they gave up.

Indeed, blogging is not easy. Blogging is not for the faint-hearted, it is for those with lionheart.

If you are not patient enough for your blog to start giving you the desired revenue, then blogging is not for you.

In my previous post I discussed the three ‘Ts’ a publisher needs if he must succeed in the industry.
In this post we shall be looking at four things that can make you quit or give up on blogging. They are as follows;

  1. Constant look at your earnings
  2. Once a month writing sickness
  3. Lack of patience
  4. Lacking motivation

Constant look at your earnings

4 things that can make you give up on blogging

A new blog that newly got accepted into the Google Adsense platform shouldn’t be expected to do well as long as remuneration is concerned.

When I started newly as a publisher I check my Absence earnings almost every second. The amount I see never for once encouraged me. Sometimes I wonder why I still waste my time in the blogging industry since my site can’t start paying me as soon as immediately.

At a point, I decided to avoid checking my earnings and focus on publishing new content. This decision took my mind completely away from my earnings and helped me concentrate on building my blog.

If you focus more on your sluggish earnings you might end up quitting your blog. This is why you must focus on building your business into a reputable standard before you can think of monetization.

What I am trying to say here is that you need to grow your site first. When you notice that you are becoming an authority in your niche you can go ahead to monetize it because traffic which will be the engine of your revenue will no longer be a problem.

Once in a month writing sickness

4 things that can make you give up on blogging

You may be wondering which one is a “once-in-a-month writing sickness” and how it makes you want to give up on blogging.

“Once-in-a-month bloggers” are those who remember that they need to upload or write new content for their blog once in a month. Maybe this happens as a result of their inability to develop or have enough time for their blog.

It is one of the things that discourage a blog from growing. Sometimes, when you remember to write new content you become discouraged and unnecessarily tired.

At the end of the day, you will notice that the blog was only updated once or twice in two or three months.

A blog you no longer have time for suffers a lot and this might push you into not renewing the site when next it expires.

If you want to make it big from your blog you have to understand that blogging demands more of your time and attention.

If you cannot give it the desired attention then you’ll need to hire someone who would or better still, hand it over to someone who you trust and believes can handle it for you.

All forms of relationship needs love and attention to grow. Your blog on the other hand all needs your love and attention to become that money-making platform that you dream of it to become.

Lack of Patience

Lacking patience suffers the possibility of making money from blogging

Patience is a virtue that a good population of the world is lacking today. 79% of the world’s population believes in this ‘quick-quick’ mantra and it is eating deeply badly into our system.

83.1% of publishers want to make money as soon as possible without any form of delay.

Because of a lack of patience, a lot of publishers have given up on this blogging industry. They want to make the money real quick but because the money is not coming as expected they quit.

“The patience dog eats the fattest bone” were the words of the old wise men. Only patience, hard work, and readiness to learn new things can help you excel in this blog-sphere.

I would encourage you to never give up if you are new to this system. No road to success is smooth. You will meet obstacles but trust me; the end of the journey is worth it.

Lacking motivation

Lack of motivation can make you give up in blogging

A blogger who lacks any form of motivation will give up blogging. To solve this problem try to engage yourself with things that can keep you motivated.

Whenever you feel discouraged, try as much as possible to distract yourself from anything blogging or better still, read the stories of successful bloggers. This will help to motivate and keep you pushing.

Let me put one thing straight here, one of the bigges t mistakes you can make as a publisher is to believe that your motivation depends on someone else. As a publisher, you don’t need another person to motivate you before you can be motivated.

The success story of another person indeed encourages others to work hard to attain such success. I want you to understand that the best motivation you can get is the motivation you can give to yourself.

It is left for you to decide either to succeed or to remain unsuccessful.

Try to motivate yourself in the blogging industry. It is a vast community of users. If you give up, another person is ever ready to get hold of your domain and do wonders with it.

Wrapping things up

Becoming a successful publisher is not an easy process to follow. You must prepare your mind because what you are about to face is not an easy task.

Except where you have the money to settle all the bills as regards blogging, and then you cannot worry about instant remuneration.

But in a situation where you are new and you want organic traffic to be your source of traffic then a lot has to be done.
Patience, hard work, self-motivation, consistency and an overlook of the site’s earnings are among the things you will need to succeed in this blog-sphere.
