Ezoic Requirements: All Information You Need

Ezoic requirements

Before, it was difficult for new and struggling bloggers to start making money from Ezoic due to its difficult requirements.

Initially, your site will have at least 10,000 monthly visits before you can be qualified to start showing Ezoic ads on your blog.

Over time, there was a reversal in this policy. Both new and struggling bloggers could join the earning platform only when their site satisfies some requirements.

In this blog post, we shall be looking at those Ezoic requirements before you can start earning.

Table of Contents

1. Adherence to Google Policies

As one of Google’s publishing partners, Ezoic expects your site or blog to adhere to all of Google’s policies.

If your site is in contempt of any of Google’s policies, sorry, your site won’t be approved.

And one bad thing about this is that, if your site is rejected during the first preview, you might be banned from using Ezoic forever or maybe allowed to reapply after six months. This, however, depends on how Ezoic picturizes your blog.

If they see the site as containing content that is against their policies, your site will be barred from using Ezoic forever.

But when they notice that your site is relatively new and still needs to be developed further, they will allow you to reapply after six months.

Because of some policy violations, my old site was completely banned by Ezoic.

Some of these Google’s policies you must adhere to include, but are not limited to:

No invalid clicks/impressions

One big mistake new site owners make is encouraging clicks and also self-clicking on ads running on their blogs.

They fail to understand that google has a very powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI) that understands when such happens.

This leads to a ban and Ezoic doesn’t approve of that. So you must avoid self-clicking on your ads and move on to write good content for your readers.

Not falsely encouraging clicks

Like I said earlier, encouraging people to click on your ads is one big activity google frowns at. You must avoid it if you need your site to be approved by Ezoic.

Not offering copyrighted material/downloads

Recently, Google deactivated many Adsense accounts running on music and video websites/blogs.

This was a result of an overbearing conflict of copyrights.

They upload contents that were not theirs and Google was mad at this.

Not offering counterfeit goods

Even without being explained, you should know how important Google values its company.

Because it doesn’t want to be seen as a platform where evil thrives, offering counterfeit goods became a banned scenery.

You are not allowed to use Google’s products on sites selling counterfeit products.

The site should have reliable traffic sources

If your site must be approved by Ezoic, one of the requirements is to ensure that your site has an identifiable source of traffic.

Sites shouldn’t redirect users to undesirable pages/sites/pop-ups or pop-unders

Avoid applying to Ezoic with a site that redirects visitors to unknown places.

Google frowns at this. And because Ezoic is a certified Google publishing partner, it equally frowns at this activity.

So you must avoid having a site that redirects people to areas that don’t add to their value.

Ezoic Requirements: Avoid Gambling Contents

If there are contents that piss Google off, one of them is gambling content.

To be on the safer side, try as much as possible to avoid applying to Ezoic with a site filled with gambling content.

Ezoic Requirements: Not using automatically generated content

Many of us bloggers out there love fast ways to achieve success.

We fail to understand that the more we hasten for almost everything, the more we live behind the values expected of us.

Because Google rejects sites with automatically generated content, Ezoic also plays on that path.

Learn to write original content and learn to avoid allowing AIs to write your blog content for you.

Not creating empty pages with no original content

Some people are good at writing 10 to 100 words of blog posts and sharing them on the internet.

To Google, site owners with these kinds of content lack a basic understanding of their niche.

As a result, they are not qualified to show ads on their sites.

One of the Ezoic requirements is that you have a site that has good content that is well-written.

Not using content that is copied from other webpages

No one is indeed an encyclopedia of knowledge, hence, no one man knows everything.

That is an honest statement. But it is not a reason why you must copy your fellow blogger’s content word for word without adding new values to it.

You can copy the ideas of other people but try as much as possible to ensure you rewrite them using your choice of words and language.

With this, Google will understand that you have added good value to the already existing information at its disposal.

In some cases, your site might outrank the original site which you sourced your information from.

Ezoic Requirements: Not keyword stuffing

Many new bloggers make the mistake of stuffing keywords in their blog posts just to push Google crawlers to easily find their content.

Lol! My mother will always say, “yes, alcohol is a good friend to the head that understands its original feature”.

Keyword stuffing is never good for any website hoping to grow.

The more you keyword stuff your content, the more your site is disregarded by Google.

Ezoic frowns at this and can never approve your site if that is found on your blog.

Not using adult / dangerous/derogatory content

One of the Ezoic requirements is that you ensure you don’t apply to it with a site that contains adult, dangerous and derogatory materials.

A mention of it alone is a taboo to Ezoic. So try as much as possible to ensure that your site doesn’t encourage any of the mentioned.

Not offering alcohol/tobacco / healthcare-related content

Why Google hated these niches is what I don’t know. But for the sake of safety, avoid contents that encourage alcohol, tobacco, healthcare etc.

Not using aggressive/threatening content

I don’t need to tell you that when you create content liable enough to disorganize things, Google will see your site as unworthy.

Ezoic also frowns at that so try as much as possible to avoid such content.

Not using illegal content

Materials seen as illegal are barred from Ezoic. You are welcome to apply for Ezoic monetization if you are sure that your site doesn’t promote illegal activities.

2. Ezoic Requirements: Site content

Adsense encourages site owners to adhere to policies guiding Adsense even though you need Adsense approval before you can apply for Ezoic.

From their official website, Ezoic wrote “as a Google Certified Publishing Partner, Ezoic needs to ensure sites using our tools are compliant with AdSense policy, though AdSense approval isn’t necessary to use Ezoic for the vast majority of sites.

We require all content to be original, constructive and enticing. You can find more information about these quality guidelines by clicking here”.

3. AdSense-supported language

If you want your site to be approved by Ezoic, do ensure that you are using languages Adsense supports.

In their official post, Ezoic made it clear, “all sites we work with must be written in an AdSense-supported language. You can find a list of these languages by clicking here”.

4. Ezoic Requirements: Type of site

As it relates to the type of site required by Ezoic, Ezoic has this to say “at the moment, we offer Ezoic’s monetization products i.e. Ezoic Ads to informational, content-rich sites. We don’t currently work with sites that are predominantly corporate or e-commerce. However, for example, if your site is a blog attached to an e-commerce site – we can certainly take a look! Moreover, corporate and e-commerce sites can use our Leap tools as long as they adhere to Google’s policies (above)”.

5. Ezoic Requirements: Passing Ezoic Courses

As a new user, even after your site is approved by Adsense, it is still not due for monetization until you pass some courses.

Ezoic offers these courses free of charge and expects you to answer questions after watching the courses.

I would always advise you to pay attention very well to the videos so that you can be able to answer the questions that will come up at the end of the video.

When you successfully answer all the questions, your site will be 89.8% due for monetization.

6. Finally, Getting Ad Manager’s Approval

This is the final requirement for your site to start showing Ezoic ads.

Your site will need to be approved by Google’s Ad manager.

It, therefore, means that, when you finally get this done, your site will be due for monetization.

Wrapping things up on Ezoic requirements

If you can get Adsense approval, trust me, getting Ezoic’s approval wouldn’t be difficult.

All you need to get approved by Ezoic have been discussed in this post. If you have further questions on Ezoic requirements for monetization do well to leave us a comment.

At this moment, we wish to say, thanks for coming around.
